How can spending work time on Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin be productive?
Does switching off social media in the workplace work?
Can social notworking work for business?

In partnership with the Institute of Internal Communications, Bernard Hodes Group Digital director Andy Hyatt and engagement consultant Joe O’Shea discuss the power of external social media to engage employees in their work and the brand.

Drawing on client and industry case studies, they will explain how social media is shifting the shape of employee engagement and how IC can help activate employees as brand advocates.

This session is not about internal social platforms, collaboration or intranets, it’s about creating a framework in which employees and organisations can make the most of social media…

The session will include:

  • The cost of restricting social media in the workplace
  • Managing the rise of the empowered employee
  • Social benefits for the individual and organisation
  • Capitalising on communities of practice
  • How to create an effective social media policy

Tuesday 26 June 2012, 6.15pm drinks reception for 6.45pm start @ Bernard Hodes Group, 10 Regents Wharf, All Saints Street, London N1 9RL

Tickets for the event cost £20 +VAT for IoIC and IABC members and £30 +VAT for nonmembers, including drinks and canapés. Places are limited.
