What makes an outstanding employer?
Research Launch Breakfast Event
Hodes has sponsored the TARGETJobs National Graduate Recruitment Employer of the Year Award ever since it began. That’s because we believe that employers should be recognised for delivering on their promises to graduates, not just for having the biggest marketing budget or a high profile consumer brand.
We’re holding a breakfast event on 10th May at The Club at The Ivy, London where we’ll present the results of our benchmarking report from the Employer of the Year Award. It'll start from 8.15 am, with the research presentation at 8.45 am, and it will finish no later than 10am.
The research looks at a number of key indicators across Attraction, Selection, Onboarding & Induction, Training & Development, Retention and Innovation where new graduates themselves have had the opportunity to share their experiences across each one.
Some highlights from this year’s report that we'll be discussing on the day include:
In addition to the research findings, we are also pleased to have some of the finalists from the Graduate Employer of the Year Award with us on the morning to share with you key areas that have made them stand out from the crowd this recruitment season.
We will be presenting these findings and more at our breakfast event. Places are limited so don’t delay in booking yours. Please click here to register or email Natasha on natasha.westgate@hodes.co.uk if you’d like to join us.

Is a 2:1 degree worth more than work experience?
Following the success of the first and second Graduate Answer Time, totaljobs.com, Bernard Hodes and The Association of Graduate Recruiters (AGR) are delighted to invite you to a morning of insight and debate.
Hosted by Channel Four presenter Krishnan Guru-Murthy, an expert panel representing the graduate employment industry and stakeholders associated with the education and employment sectors will be questioned to find out whether employers’ priorities are changing as the graduate pool begins to shrink.
Is the era of simply having a 2:1 degree as a pre-requisite for a graduate job over? Is a university degree a good indication of a person’s ability or skill level? And, if not, what is and how should young people get the skills, qualifications and experience that employers need?
Contributing to the panel discussion will be a group of university and A-Level students to give their unique insight into the current graduate job market and their view on how it is changing.
We do hope you can join us for what promises to be a robust debate, enjoyable breakfast, and an opportunity to network.
If you’d like to attend, please send your RSVP, to natasha@hodes.co.uk.

The fact that social media ROI is difficult to measure is one of the main reasons why many businesses have had second thoughts about social media. And now, with evidence that companies are planning to increase their social budgets this year, priorities tend to shift towards a better understanding of ROI.
Hodes' Head of Digital Andy Hyatt is this month's guest speaker at Social Media London, and having worked with some of the largest and most successful brands in the world delivering online campaigns who better to talk about ROI in social media?
