Accessibility

Providing a site that is accessible to as many people as possible is something we feel strongly about. From our writing style to the page layout – we’ve tried to include as much best practice as possible.

Browser compatibility

We support Internet Explorer 7+ and modern web-standards compliant browsers. These include the latest versions of Firefox, Chrome, Opera and Safari. The list above is not exhaustive – other browsers, including some mobile browsers, that support web standards will also render our pages correctly.

Website build standards

  • Built using progressive enhancement techniques. This means all the content is accessible when JavaScript and CSS are turned off.
  • Designed to allow full screen viewing using 1024×768.
  • Provides structural elements (eg headings) before navigation blocks to signpost the navigation type (global or local).
  • Uses semantically correct markup.
  • Writes page titles in this order: Page name – Website. This is helpful for bookmarking.
  • Informs the user when opening a new window.

Privacy policy

When you first make an enquiry of or use a service from Bernard Hodes Group, your details are placed on our mailing list. We use the information we receive from you to provide services, to communicate with you, and to personalise our information sent to you. We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others.

We store all the information you provide us, including information provided via forms you complete on our website. Generally by providing the requested data you consent to Bernard Hodes Group and using that data for administrative purposes and for informing you of other services by letter, SMS, telephone and/or email. We may also use the information we collect to occasionally notify you about important functionality changes to the website.

Each time you receive marketing information or a message, you have the option to decline to receive further marketing information from us. This is known as an ‘opt-out’.
